Every business is different - pricing for services will vary depending on your business' needs.

BOOKKEEPING SERVICES

(monthly fee)

My monthly charge for bookkeeping services depends on multiple factors, and rates are based on an appropriate scale. I don't believe a small, mom-and-pop shop should be charged the same rate as a large, retail business - they don't have the same needs, and my pricing considers these differences.

Bookkeeping services include:

accounts receivable (invoicing customers, cash receipts, applying deposits, etc.)
accounts payable (processing vendor invoices, bill payments, expense reports, etc.)
payroll services
bank reconciliations
general ledger maintenance (ledger reconciliations, chart of account maintenance, etc.)
monthly adjusting journal entries (accruals, amortization, depreciation, etc.)
monthly financial package: income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
consolidation entries (if needed)
year-end procedures

Bookkeeping clients also receive:

preferred rates for preparation services (for reports other than the financial package, listed above)
preferred rates for budgeting/forecasting services
preferred rates for other services

PREPARATION SERVICES

(one-time fee, per set prepared)

$150 - $300

If all you need is a set of financial statements prepared, I am happy to help! I charge a flat fee to prepare those statements from your financial data.

Preparation services include an income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Other statements are available upon request (additional fees may apply).

Bookkeeping client benefits:

monthly financial statement preparation is included in your monthly fee

BUDGETING/FORECASTING SERVICES

(hourly rate)

$75 per hour

No two businesses are created equal, and their budgets and forecasts should reflect their unique goals. Since each project varies in scope, I charge an hourly rate to prepare these items.

Examples of deliverables:

proforma financial statements
cash budgets
forecasting models to project net income based on provided metrics
forecast vs actual comparisons

Bookkeeping client benefits:

receive a preferred hourly rate for budget/forecast services
add a forecast vs. actual comparison report to your monthly financial package for $50/mo

ABOUT ME

Shelley Bell, CPA -- Owner

I am a native Texan (born & raised) who has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area my entire life. My husband and I moved to Mansfield, Texas in 2013 with our dogs, and have both become involved in our community - we love to support the local area as much as possible!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting Control Systems from the University of North Texas. Afterwards, I have spent my career working in the private sector. I have worked in accounting for a concert promoter, a local university, a trucking & logistics company (that specializes in oilfield services), and I currently work for a professional sports team.

My diverse background in the industry has exposed me to many areas of accounting, and over the years, I have developed skills that I find useful every day.

During my time working at the university, I decided to return to school to earn my Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and to become a CPA licensed in the great State of Texas. I accomplished both goals while continuing to work full time.

Because of my love for our community, and in order to support local businesses, I decided to open my practice in late 2019. I believe small businesses are the backbone of the community, and I want to make sure that all business owners have access to support from a licensed CPA (without breaking the bank).

I am a member of several professional organizations including the AICPA, the Fort Worth chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the UTA chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, and Dallas Influencers in Sports & Entertainment.

To directly support those in need in Mansfield, my husband and I became members of the board for Battle of the Nines Charity Classic. As members, we help to organize the annual golf tournament that raises funds for the local charity. Since 1985, all funds raised have helped individuals that directly impact Mansfield (recipients must either live in Mansfield, work in Mansfield, or their children attend Mansfield schools).
